About Trellis
Trellis was born from a lifelong love of movement. As dancers from a young age, the founders understood the power of rhythm, discipline, and the mind-body connection. When their time in the dance world began to shift, they searched for a new way to channel that passion. Pilates became the bridge - a practice that carried the same grace, control, and expression they had always known, but in a way that felt deeply restorative and sustainable.
In Statesboro, they noticed something missing. Fitness options were either high-intensity and competitive or lacked the intentionality women craved. They envisioned a space where movement could be more than a workout; it could be a safe haven. Trellis was created as a for-women, by-women studio, where strength and softness coexist and hospitality and community are as important as the exercises themselves.
The name Trellis reflects growth, support, and beauty. Just as a trellis supports a plant as it climbs and flourishes, the studio exists to support women in building strength, confidence, and meaningful connections. Every class, every interaction, and every detail is designed to help women feel grounded, uplifted, and at home.
Trellis isn’t just a studio, it’s a movement toward intentional living, community, and self-discovery.
